Col. N.B. Saxena (Retd.) is a civil engineer with M.Tech. in Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and Ph.D. in Construction Management from Jamia Milia Islamia University. He is a ‘Technical Staff Course’ qualified from IAT Girininagar Pune. After serving in the Corps of Engineers, the Indian Army for 26 years he took voluntary retirement where he commanded the Engineer Regiment in “OP Vijai”, Kargil operations for which unit citation of war was awarded by the Chief of Army Staff.

He has been the Project in charge of “Osmani International Airport: Sylhet, Bangladesh while working for SPAN Consultants and also served in Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD) as Director (T&D). Subsequently, he worked as Joint General Manager with L&T Construction with their Construction Skills Department at Delhi dealing with the training of construction workers in skills and vocational space.

In addition, he has been the founder of Technical Member, to the Executive Group, Construction Sector Skill Development Council of India under NSDC for initial set up. At present, he is working as a Consultant in the Construction Skilling space mainly with Simplex Infrastructure Ltd. and is the lead member of the Construction Core Group for Apprenticeship Training with the Director General of Training under the Ministry of Labour & Employment.
